Bradley Michalchuk Director of Financial Planning and ESG Research

We are very pleased to welcome Brad Michalchuk to The Millstone Evans Group as the Director of Financial Planning and ESG Research. Brad comes to us with a broad range of experience as a financial planner and energy professional, most recently working at Maia Wealth Management and The Anschutz Corporation in Denver.

He brings a uniquely helpful background to our team.

After growing up in western Canada, Brad attended Middlebury College in VT, where he double majored in Economics and Geology. He then went on to Rice University to earn a M.S. in Earth Science where he published his thesis on the glacial and climate history in the Antarctic Peninsula.

From 2008-2021 Brad worked as a Geologist and Project Manager on projects around the world including Africa, Australia, Europe, and the United States. During this period, he still found time to earn a M.S. in Global Energy Management from the University of Colorado Denver Business.

Life threw Brad a bit of a curve ball when, after experiencing personal financial planning for his family, Brad found the process so meaningful that he began to consider a career change.

Testing the waters, Brad completed the Financial Planning program with the Boston Institute of Finance in 2020 and is currently a candidate for the CFP designation. In early 2021 he took a position as a Wealth Management Advisor with Maia Wealth Management. Although Maia is in the same downtown Denver office building as the Millstone Evans Group, we never met until Brad came across our job posting on ZipRecruiter last December. All parties agreed it was an excellent match!

We are excited for Brad to apply his breadth of skills to working with clients, building comprehensive financial plans, and applying Environmental, Social, and Governmental (ESG) research to our investment selection. Brad is very happy to join the Millstone Evans Group, and the bonus is that he lives a little more than a mile from the Boulder office which allows him to spend more time with his family. He is active in the community as a member of the North Boulder Little League board of directors, with his kid’s youth hockey and various activities.
