Joe Morris joined the team in 2024 as a client service associate, supporting day-to-day client service needs, office operations and account management matters. He is very excited to work with the Millstone Evans Group clients and help them as he continues to learn different aspects of the business.
His previous experience includes working as an Internal Wholesaler for Transamerica Mutual Funds. There he learned general business and common-sense investing practices, as well as how to communicate efficiently with financial advisors and find out what they are looking for and why and how those decisions ultimately serve clients.
“I gained a great deal of experience by beginning my investment career selling mutual funds to investment advisors,” he says. “But I was drawn to working for a smaller company where I could make a direct positive impact on people’s lives.”
That’s one of the key attributes that attracted him to The Millstone Evans Group team. The firm’s unique focus on personalized client service is allowing him the chance to get to know clients on a personal level and better support their life and financial goals.
Unlike many graduates who have no idea what they want to do post-graduation, Joe knew from a young age that he wanted a career in financial services and investment planning. He has worked studiously to make that happen.
“I started early in 7th grade with MarketWatch, which is a simulation where you compete with people to see who can grow an imaginary portfolio the most,” he says. “What drove me to the RIA side was the freedom to pick your stocks based on available data and what is in the client’s best interest.”
Joe graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a Bachelor of Science in business administration with an emphasis in accounting and finance. He also holds Series 63, Series 7 and Securities Industry Essentials® (SIE) licenses.
A native of Colorado, Joe loves the mountains, and he says they keep him here. He also loves skiing, fishing, and hiking the 14ers as well as listening to music and collecting vinyl albums. In his free time, he supports important causes including Bags of Fun, a regional group that supports sick kids, and Food Bank of the Rockies.
