Following a very successful yearlong internship, Sydney Tyler joined the team full time in 2025 as a client service associate, supporting day-to-day client service needs, office operations and account management matters.
She is excited to be part of the Millstone Evans Group team as she gets to know clients on a personal level and learn about their lives and goals. “In particular, I love that this is a woman-owned and run firm,” she says. “Our focus on personalized service and appealing to those who haven’t necessarily felt included in traditional settings is important to me. It’s a very real place that cares about people – all aspects of their lives, not just finances.”
In her position, Sydney says she particularly loves learning about the many detailed aspects of financial planning and seeing firsthand the positive impact financial planning has on clients’ lives.
Looking ahead, she wants to get more involved in financial planning and is looking forward to getting her Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation soon, which will allow her to serve clients better.
Sydney holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration with an emphasis in finance and accounting from the University of Colorado Leeds School of Business. During her school years, she was part of the Leeds Scholars Program, which provides a rigorous academic community of peers, leadership training, mentorship opportunities, a merit scholarship, and more.
Currently, she is spearheading a new mentorship initiative aimed at connecting current Leeds Scholars with alumni for career and academic guidance. Acting as Chair of the Leeds Scholars Program Recruitment Committee, she leads efforts to engage prospective students and enhance program visibility. Of note, she holds the distinction of being on the Leeds Scholars Alumni Board as an executive board member, a rare honor for a recent graduate.
In addition, Sydney is bilingual in Spanish and an active brother of the professional business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi. Her interests outside of work include skiing the various resorts in Colorado, exploring new towns and traveling around the state, and as she says, “hiking as many Colorado 14ers (peaks that above 14,000 feet) as I can. Last summer, I hiked seven 14ers. There are 57, and my goal is to hike all 57.”
